Colin – Zombie Movie – Cost $60 To Make

Colin, the new British zombie movie which is due to go on general cinema release in the near future cost the makers just £ 45 (no I haven’t forgotten the million part…forty-five pounds sterling) and it was filmed using two cheap video cameras. Even the Blair Witch Project which caused a flood of shaky camera movies to follow had a massive budget for such a low quality film. Colin, which is set in London, was picked up by a very interested distribution company who plan to give the movie some general exposure. As with all low budget movies the director (Marc Price) used mainly family and friends to shoot the movie but the outcome is fantastic. The budget for Colin was mainly spent for tea and coffee for the cast and crew and one crowbar which was necessary for a particular scene.

The movie was edited in the directors bedroom and he can hardly believe that “Colin” has been picked up by a distribution company. What makes the filmmaker of Colin most happy is the fact that this may give other small time movie directors the chance to get their work out to bigger audiences. Colin get its British premiere in “The Empire” cinema in Leicester Square next month and despite almost 60 movies being released every month the extra hype created around the budget cost of Colin may be a selling point that will avoid it being lost in the crowd. The rave reviews coming from Cannes lead us to believe that this will be a real fairytale ending.

So if you fancy flesh gnawing type movies then maybe Colin the zombie movie may be right up your street and you will be supporting the little guys in an industry generally driven by over budgeted drivel.

The Kari Ann Peninche, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane Uncensored Video

Wow ok I thought at first this was a hoax but it is not. I saw a censored version of the Kari Ann Peninche, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane censored video at gawker dot com. Even though the publicist for these actors and actresses have threatened to sue anyone showing the tape, gawker seems so far unfazed by this threat. Gawker states that the website fleshbot (it’s an adult site) will post the The Kari Ann Peninche, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane Uncensored Video tomorrow morning on August 18th, 2009. This video has surfaced because apparently Kari Ann Peninche is running an illegal escort business, possibly sex-for-hire. The video was leaked by someone with connections to the Los Angeles Police Department. The video itself was a 3minute and 24 second censored video clip. I apparently do not see anything illegal going on but you do see one video clip where Kari Ann is apparently reading off a credit card number to someone on the phone. No doubt that something fishy is going on here.

The Kari Ann Peninche, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane Uncensored Video shows Rebecca pretty high, walking around naked and in some weird looking red fiesta style dress, and in a jacuzzi. The 3 of them talk about what porno names they would have and Eric himself suggests either “Rambo” or “Cocaine”. Ouch. Kari Ann Peninche can be seen mostly naked most of the time but my info only comes from seeing the censored version. I can guarantee you I will watch the Kari Ann Peninche, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane Uncensored Video to report more, and if only tomorrow morning would come though there might be a chance it will be removed from the internet before then, only one way to find out…

Kari Ann Peniche

There are rumors swirling around right now that Kari Ann Peniche, former Miss Teen USA, is seen doing questionable acts with Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart in a video that is circulating around the internet and piracy channels. The three are allegedly drunk and having a 3-way going on (no not the 3 way lanes on highways…). I’m also pretty sure it is not really true since nobody would risk making such a tape and then have it leaked out (it’s bad press). Kari Ann Peniche was stripped of her Miss Teen USA for violating the no-pornography clause of her pageant contract and posed nude for Playboy. Supposedly Kari Ann Peniche offers her services as a “Hollywood Madam” (citation http:// wow-legs.blogspot.com/2009/08/ kari-ann-peniche .html). Celebrity Rehab featured Kari Ann Peniche, where she was being treated for a sex addiction but was booted off the reality program because of misbehavior (Why are the reasons always so general and vague?). Kari Ann Peniche allegedly stole objects from her room mate Mindy McCready on the show, though there are no real reliable details of this supposed theft of items or whether or not it really took place (editor’s note: sorry for the bad picture but I had a very difficult time finding a non-pornographic photo of Kari Ann Peniche that fit the orientation dimensions of the image box, she is the woman on the left).

Carlo s Bake Shop

If you love cake, then you must know about Carlo s Bake Shop, the site and location of the famed show “Cake Boss” where family members are constantly baking cakes, ranging from party birthday cakes to wedding cakes. The main appeal of this show is it’s very family oriented, since after all this show is run by a family, with Valastro as the “Cake Boss”. The Food Network has launched a competitor show “Ace Of Cakes” and TLC, who produces “Cake Boss” responded with yet another cake show “Ultimate Cake Off”. This comedy features Valastro, a proud, colorful Italian with a funny attitude and an accent to give his words a lot of punch. He also happens to be quite the comedian. Valastro himself doesn’t realize how real his show has become, in which he stars, when he witnessed a bride to be deface her own cake by squirting it with some unmatched colored icing. He told her that she “has got to be kidding” but later turned out the bride just thought it would be funny for the audience. Valastro says he meets all sorts of “crazy” personalities out there.

The most difficult part of running Carlo s Bake Shop is the long work hours and hectic schedule. He works 12 to 18 hours a day, 6 days a week. He normally wouldn’t mind such hours but he misses his wife and 3 kids, which is what really hurts him the most. The bake shop belonged to Valastro’s father, who bought the store from somebody else. Valastro’s father came to America when he was 13 with nothing but his shoes for possessions. Valastro says he is what the American dream is all about, and he’s right. Valastro is an avid baker, and he treats his profession like a science, referring himself jokingly as a mad scientist. While other people just mix, match, and shove something in the oven, Valastro does test batches of cakes until it comes out just right. His cake making skills command a hefty fee, he once made a rhino cake for a museum in New York, charging $8,000 for the job. What makes it so expensive is the precise, fine details that goes into the roses or indents, or creases on the cakes. Some call him a sugar artist but Valastro insists on calling himself a baker first, since baking after all is his passion. The large popularity of this show has TLC (The Learning Channel) signing this bake shop on for another season, and families all across America are tuning in every week because of the show’s characters, the family aspect of it, and of course, the colorful cakes. The personality that is reflected in each cake, is also within each baker, and the family togetherness of the show has enchanted many families throughout America. Carlo s Bake Shop is located in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Alyssa Milano Wedding Pictures

Lovely Actress Alyssa Milano just got hitched to Hollywood Agent David Bugliari at Mr. Bugliari’s lavish estate in New Jersey. The two wanted a small intimate affair attended by close friends and family.

Alyssa, started her acting career on Broadway appearing in Annie and later starred in the hit Television show “Who’s The Boss” with co-stars Tony Danza and Judith Light. The show ran form 1984 to 1992 which gave us all a chance to watch the precious pre-teen blossom literally before our eyes.

As an adult, Alyssa Milano has not really had much success in the movies, starring in a number of mediocre films like Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story, Double Dragon and Poison Ivy II: Lily, none of which would ever be considered for an Oscar.

Television has been much kinder to Ms. Milano. After her starring turn in “Who’s the Boss”, she came back strong in “Melrose Place” only to be plucked away to star in her biggest TV hit, “Charmed” on the WB network. The show maintained a strong audience and popularity throughout her stint there from 1998 to 2006.

At the wedding, Alyssa wore a stunning Vera Wang wedding gown while she walked down an aisle strewn with cream-colored rose petals and walking in time to John Lennon’s “Imagine”. She and the ecstatic Mr. Bugliari then exchanged traditional vows before a congregation that included celebrities the likes of Bradley Cooper, Jerry Ferrara a.k.a. Turtle of “Entourage” fame, Ryan Seacrest and Will Ferrell and Jeremy Piven.

Later in the evening, Piven took to the drums and played an impromptu set to the delight of the guests in attendance. According to People Magazine, the

Guests at the wedding reception enjoyed a traditional Italian family-style dinner. The Blushing bride and her groom admitted that “We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple”.

As you can imagine, there was much joyous celebration, music and laughter at the occasion where Will Ferrell kept his table guests in stitches with his raucous sense of humor.

Mr. Bugliari is an agent with the Creative Artists agency. He and Ms. Milano have been dating for approximately two years.

This isn’t the first time Alyssa had tried the married life. Previously, she got hitched to Cinjun Tate but it turned out that they were not a match made in heaven because they divorced after a mere 11 months. Hopefully, Mr. Bugliari will be able to keep a hold of his new bride for a bit longer.

I congratulate the new Mr. and Mrs. Bugliari and wish them years of happiness although truth be told, I really was kinda hoping I might have a shot one day. Alas, I guess it just was not meant to be.

Martial Artist Mark Dacascos Iron Chef

Martial artist Mark Dacascos of Iron Chef fame is going to be part of the cast alongside former House Republican Majority Leader and politician Tom “The Hammer” Delay. Mark is chairman of the hit tv show “Iron Chef” and starred in “Crying Freeman” along with his wife Mrs. Julie Condra. Tom Delay on the other hand, was a politician in the republican party who had to step down due to some dicy legal issues. A short while ago, Dacascos has told his people that he will jump into the tv show, alongside with other famous people such as Donny Osmond, Aaron Carter, Kelly Osbourne, Michael Irvin, and Natalie Coughlin.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Dacascos was a fighter of martial arts throughout his early days and soon created fame and glory himself playing roles of the kung fu hero, similiar to David Caradine or The Karate Kid. His profile on IMDB shows that he has been featured, casted, and voice acted for several movies, tv shows, and video games. 4 years ago, he earned the job of chairman of Iron Chef, a culinary (cooking) competitive show that was originally created for Japanese audiences, adopted for American television. As is custom in every introduction, he is “the nephew” of the Japanese chairman, Takeshi Kaga. While Mr. Mark Dacascos “Iron Chef” knows how to cook, fry, cut, chop, and fly his way in and around the cooking room, he has yet to prove to the world that he can dance in a fashionable way, and of course how this relates to Tom Delay, well, we’ll just have to tune into Dancing With The Stars this fall, won’t we?

Chuck Liddell Dancing With The Stars New Cast Member

Well folks, Chuck Liddell is one of Dancing With The Stars newest cast members. It never occurred to me that I would ever hear the words chuck Liddell dancing with the stars in the same sentence.

Most MMA fans love Chuck Liddell. Nicknamed The Iceman for his quiet intensity, and yet fierceness in the ring. Perhaps, this season Bruno will use some restraint in his wacky commentary. I can already hear it now, “Iceman is right, Chuck you danced like you were frozen and stiff…”, unable to finish the sentence as Liddell puts him in a guillotine choke hold or an omoplata shoulder lock.

The only MMA fighter to rival Chuck Liddell, in popularity, would be the much beloved Randy Couture. Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture helped bring the popularity of MMA to the forefront, benefiting the sport and the careers of both fighters. Randy Couture has been in and out of retirement. Chuck Liddell has just recently retired from MMA fighting during April of this year.

Maybe Chuck Liddell being on Dancing With The Stars isn’t such a surprising move after all. We all know that Dancing With The Stars is an excellent way to jumpstart or revive a sagging career. And in spite of being retired it looks like Chuck Liddell has no intentions of lying on the beach or tinkering in the garden.

He has released an autobiography of his life entitled, “Iceman: My Fighting Life”, in 2007 he was the first UFC fighter to be on the cover of ESPN The Magazine. And he has made several TV and film appearances.

He has had some small parts in Blade: The Series, The Postman Always Rings Twice, and Cradle 2 The Grave. He also appeared as himself in Entourage, MTV-Punked, and Drillbit Taylor. He has made other TV and film cameos and interviews and was in the Nickelback video Rockstar.

So is Dancing With The Stars a stepping stone into a larger acting career for Chuck Liddell? Only time will tell. As a fan of both Dancing With The Stars and MMA fighting, I think this is a perfect combination, and I am sure Chuck Liddell with go on to do great things.

As far as Chuck Liddell Dancing With The Stars season 9. Having him on the show will only make it more interesting. Even if my above scenario with Bruno doesn’t happen. I am excited to see how Chuck Liddell does in a dancing venue, and the reaction of the judges, and how he reacts to being on the show.

This should be a really fun season and I hope Chuck Liddell hangs in there for the long haul because it should be fun to watch. Even a former UFC Champion should be able to find room on his mantle for the mirror ball trophy.

Dancing With The Stars New Cast Revealed

The new cast of Dancing With The Stars was revealed this morning by Tom Bergeron on Good Morning America. The 2009 Season of Dancing With The Stars will premier September 21. One of the things that makes Dancing With The Stars so fascinating is the cast members. Dancing With The Stars always has a diverse and well rounded cast, and this year is no exception.

The Dancing With The Stars New Cast for 2009 will be:

1. Kathy Ireland
2. Macy Gray
3. Melissa Joan Hart
4. Mya
5. Ashley Hamilton
6. Michael Irvin
7. Mark Dacascos
8. Donny Osmond
9. Kelly Osbourne
10. Debi Mazar
11. Chuck Liddell
12. Natalie Coughlin
13. Joanna Krupa
14. Louie Vito
15. Aaron Carter
16. Tom Delay

I have watched this show since Season One and what always stands out to me is how much we learn about the celebrities by watching the show. We get to see people who we may have preconceived notions about, perform in a more relaxed state. We get to learn a little bit about their lives and watch how they perform under pressure and react in an unscripted show.

Last season we learned what a nice guy Ty Murray is. He was always clever and funny and really tried his best. Plus, there were a couple of shirtless dances where he rivaled sexy Frenchman Giles Marini. We also discovered what a nice person Lil Kim turned out to be. Who would of thought that a rapper fresh out of prison would be so charming and gracious.

We also found out that Steve Wozniak was just as weird as we thought he would be, but, an all around sweet guy. Who actually did OK considering his age and stature. We also learned that Dancing With The Stars sweetheart Juliani Hough gets nervous when dancing with Fiance Chuck Wicks. In the previous season of Dancing With The Stars we discovered that Priscilla Presley was the class act we thought she was and Susan Lucci doesn’t get a Daytime Emmy for dancing.

So with Season 9’s diverse Dancing With The Stars New Cast, we should be in store for many interesting treats and new discoveries about the cast members themselves. Of particular interest to me is the addition of Chuck Liddell. Besides Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell is one of the most well known and beloved MMA fighters out there. We know he is in amazing shape and is plenty tough, but it should be fun to see his softer side come out while learning ballroom dance and working with the dancers and other stars.

Also I think choosing former House Majority Leader Tom Delay, a Republican no less, is an interesting choice. Politicians are uniquely qualified to be on Dancing With The Stars. After all of those years of dancing around the issues, they should be naturals at dancing around the ballroom. Another annoying but somewhat interesting pick is Donny Osmond. Donny seems very competitive and loves the limelight so I predict he will do well.

In the past athletes have done well. Gold medalists Kristi Yamaguchi and Apollo Ono have won, as well as NFl star Emmitt Smith. As well as race car driver Helio Castoneves. But there are usually break out stars who do really well. And others, who you expect a lot from, that don’t really cut it. Last season I was disappointed in the performance of former Girl Next Door, Holly Madison, but I think some of the blame goes to the teaching style of her dance partner. If Holly would have been paired with Dereck Hough, it would of probably been a whole different story.

No matter what happens Dancing With The Stars is a very popular show and Dancing With The Stars New Cast will not disappoint. The show makes a point to choose a diverse group of cast members that will attract diverse segments of society only increasing the shows popularity.

Lucy Bustamente get’s a shot as Regis Philbin’s co-host

Lucy Bustamente is trying her hand at as Regis Philbin’s co-host on the “Live! with Regis and Kelly”, filling in for a missing Kelly.

Lucy Bustamente is a news anchor on New Orleans Louisiana’s WWL-TV where she got quite a bit of experience covering the hurricane Katrina disaster and it’s effects throughout Lousiana and especially in New Orleans.

Ms. Bustamente got her shot as Regis’ co-host during a viewer vote where the audience selected candidates from local affiliates to appear on “Live!”

Lucy started working on her career in TV news in college while still attending Loyola. Working her way up from a lowly intern to a full editor, Lucy was bitten by the broadcasting bug and has never turned back.

At 22, the lovely Ms. Bustamente, worked her first professional news story for WALA-TV in Alabama doing live reports during tropical storms. She recall fondly “getting her feet wet” in the news game.

Lucy Bustamente was one of 20 finalists, vying for the coveted position beside Regis Philbin. Even though the contest was for a “Co-Host for a Day”, who knows?

Regis is quite the ladies man, working his way from Kathy Lee Gifford to Kelly Ripa. The producers for the contest must be aware that eventually, Regis is going to need a new lovely lady to bounce his wise-cracks off of and perhaps this contest is a way to find some possible candidates?

Only time will tell.

Mark Dacascos on Dancing with The Stars 2009

So one of my guilty pleasures each year is Dancing with the Stars and Dancing with the Stars 2009 promises to be as entertaining as ever with a cast that includes none other than hunky martial artist Mark Dacascos among others!

There were some rumors that Paula Abdul of American Idol, would be a contestant this year, but apparently, that was just a rumor and Ms. Abdul denies that she will be participating. At least not on Dancing with the Stars 2009.

So who’s going to be hoofing it for the big prize this year? Well, besides Mark Dacascos, the roster includes some very famous and some not so famous names, as usual.

First of all we have Kelly Osbourne, daughter or rocker and mumble-mouth Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne who has cleaned up her act and become quite the star on the hit TV series “America’s Got Talent”. I have to hand it to Sharon Osbourne, she cleans up really well. Kelly, who will be trying her hand . . . er feet . . . on Dancing with the Stars 2009 was once an ugly duckling but is now maturing into herself with the help of a virtual army of stylists, fashion consultants and image consultants. Kelly recently tried her hand at theater, starring as Mama Morton in a recent production of Chicago.

Next on the roster is lovely songbird Mya, who actually has quite a bit of dance training and might be considered a ringer. Another singer on kicking up her heels on the show is Macy Gray who sounds kind of like a female Rod Stewart to my ears. The singer heavy roster also includes Donny Osmond of Donny and Marie fame. You will recall that Marie tapped her tootsies on the show a while back but was not successful in getting the big prize. Maybe brother Donny will have better luck.

Debi Mazar, who is currently starring on the HBO hit Entourage (I LOVE that show!) will be giving her dance skills a shot on the show this year as well. I’ve had such a crush on Debi Mazar for years now. She has those stunning eyes that just make my heart melt when she gazes into the screen.

Also among the Dancing with the Stars 2009 cast-mates are Melissa Joan Hart who once starred on “Teen Witch”, Ashley Hamilton (son of the ever-tan George Hamilton, also a former Dancing with the Stars loser), the stunningly beautiful Joanna Krupa who started out as a model and has recently turned her talents towards acting, former Texas Congressman Tom Delay and Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin who is quite the cutie I must say.

Rounding out the cast this season are Football hall of famer Mike Irvin who played with the Dallas Cowboys, Ultimate fighter ex-champ Chuck Liddell, Aaron Carter who’s brother Nick Carter was a Backstreet Boy, Supermodel turned Super Milf Kathy Ireland and last but not least, Mark Dacascos who started out as an actor and Martial Artist and is now the chairman of “Iron Chef America” of all things.

So who’s going to take it all this year? Well, I have to put my money on Mya who actually started out as a professional dancer. Mark Dacascos, who’s learned some fancy footwork kicking butt in kung-fu flicks, could have an advantage as well.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Personally, I can’t wait!

How Does David Blaine Levitate?

How does David Blaine levitate, you ask? Well the reality is he actually fly or hover off the ground but he can fool you into thinking that he is actually flying or levitating. While the measurements can range from lifting a foot 3 inches or a foot high off the ground, you have your camera operator or person film you from the other side such that the audience looking in at you from that angle shows you to be floating off the ground. It’s just an over-glorified tippy toe maneuver and it’s pretty hilarious and amazing at the same time how many people are fooled by it (I was fooled for sure). I’m always amazed how anyone can make money or put on a show that does all these tricks (pulling a rabbit out of a hat, or a coin/nickel/quarter from your ear or throw darts at a spinning wheel with a lady in the middle – wait that’s the circus…). Still, while I prefer David Copperfield, David Blaine is a fine magician or illusionist, though there was a South Park Episode that was making fun of David Blaine once, portraying him as a fraudster. It’s not that the David Copperfields and David Blaines of the world are con artists, they’re just putting on an entertaining show where what we see is not what is there. People pay good money to figure out how David Blaine levitates but it’s not real secret but who cares, it looks cool, fun, and intriguing, or at least the first few times anyway.

David Blaine’s tricks include: After Drinks, The Hotel, Lazy Magician, Mind Reader, Four Kingdoms, Lucky 13, Spelling Bee, Teleporting Card, Think of a Card, Vanishing Card, 49er Fools Gold, Bottoms Up, Cutting The Ace, Get Money, In My Pocket Psychic Hotline, Poker Trial, Quick Flip, Slap Happy, Not Your Card, and many others. Even though most of us will not be as famous as David Blaine and his levitating magic trick, you can imitate the same tricks he does by buying ebooks that will teach you the secret to performing these tricks and coin and hat magic tricks.

Goodfellas – My Favorite Mob Film

Goodfellas, also known as Goodfellows, which was originally called Wiseguys before being brought to the silver screen is a gangster film directed by Martin Scorsese. Released in 1990, this mob film remains to be a favorite gangster movie for many who likes this films of this genre. In many mob movie lover’s eyes, Goodfellas is even better than The Godfather, another very famous movie.

With a cast full of famous “mobsters” stars like Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci and many others, Goodfellas potrayed the reality of life within the mob to the hilt. In a page page dedicated to the film at the Internet Movie Database, or IMDb, some fun facts about the movie which I doubt anyone would have taken noticed is revealed. For example, the four letter “F” word was uttered “296 times, for an average of 2.04 f##ks per minute”, more than half by Tommy (Joe Pesci) alone.

Though splattered with obsenities, vulgarities, violence and gore, the file received rave reviews upon release thanks to the solid acting by the casts, first class cinematography, and a killer soundtrack. It is an “ageless” film by all standards and one can watch re-runs of Goodfellas time and over again and never get bored with it.

As in most mobster movies, Goodfellas with all it’s profanities is a “man’s” movie. It will not go down well with God loving people as the Lord’s name was inappropriately and repeatedly used. Some who actually counted reported at least 15 instances. Women with a “respectable” upbringing will quiver while watching the movie and of course, parents will never be watching Goodfellas during a cozy family get together.

Nevertheless, Goodfellas went on to an array of film awards which includes an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role to Joe Pesci , It was also nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Lorraine Bracco), Best Director (Martin Scorsese), Best Film Editing (Thelma Schoonmaker), Best Picture (Irwin Winkler) and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium (Nicholas Pileggi, Martin Scorsese).

Other notable winnings includes awards from the Venice Film Festival (1990) and many others in and around USA.

For those who missed Goodfellas on the big screen, it is still available in DVD in major stores around the world. Most if not all online shopping portals still carries the title. Should be under the Classic category. Just make sure you watch this movie when your underage children are in bed.

Big Brother Chima Evicted – In Her Defense She Left The Family

So I’m sure you’ve heard all the rumors that are swirling around, and Chima and CBS are attempting to save face by stating completely contradictory facts in regards to Big Brother’s Chima being evicted from the show. In Chima’s own defense, she released a statement to the public that says quote:

” Hi Thomas. Yes, I did in fact quit the show, although there are reports on EW from CBS to the contrary. Big Brother would like everyone to believe I was kicked off for not following the rules, but I went to the producers repeatedly over the past couple of days wanting to leave….wanting out of that house!

As crazy as that house is, the producers NEVER want the world to think or know that we houseguests DO LEAVE when it becomes futile to stay. I lost faith in the show & my ability to remain committed to this game. All of the remaining housemates know I wanted to leave and that is why any conversation concerning me is cut in the live feed because they don’t want America to hear the truth about my voluntary departure.

Do you really believe that I would be expelled for tossing my microphone when past houseguests have only been kicked off for violence & threats of violence? You know better, as do I.

It’s better that I left. I did what was best for me in this game and that was to leave. When I chose to play & play hard the power I did earn was completely usurped by a game piece never used before in this game and my HOH reign was rendered useless. I have no regrets. As cliche’ as it sounds, until the public is a part of a human pressure cooker, then the judgements should cease.

I find it interesting that my personal attacks on Russell have been highlighted, but his attacks on me pushed under a rug. Selective portrayals? I think so. Russell did terrorize the house, especially the women in the house. Why America constantly finds men attacking women okay, yet vilifies the woman defending herself, will always confound me. But what’s done is done, now BB fans can find a new woman to hate. I didn’t sign up for what I was exposed to & I left gladly. It was the principle of the matter, the $500,000 prize be damned. That’s all for now! Take Care…”

This was sourced from backseatcuddler . com /2009/ 08/15/ big-brother-11-chima-gives-exclusive-statement-on-her-sudden-eviction/

What do you all think? Was Chima indeed a racist who picked on the person from Lebanon and deserved to get kicked out or is Chima yet another victim of vicious political backstabbing for the ever so important goal of winning five hundred grand. Please tell us your thoughts about Big Brother’s Chima being evicted.

What S The Most You Ever Lost On A Coin Toss

The famous quote “What S The Most You Ever Lost On A Coin Toss” comes from the Fargo creator’s movie, “No Country For Old Men”. The Coen brothers brought us great movies such as “The Big Lebowski”, “Raising Arizona”, and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”. In this horror film is a dramatization of random murder not only told in chilling detail from the original book, but in very graphical violence. While not majorly credited, Tommy Lee Jones plays a local law enforcement official (of course, he always plays the law). This scary horror thriller takes place in both Texas and Mexico, and the story backdrop is about a drug deal gone bad, where a lot of innocent people get murdered by the crazed drug dealer. If this sounds like fiction, I assure you it is not because this is exactly the kind of thing that is going on in real life at the Texas/Mexican border, and the reason why so many residents in Texas are arming themselves and fearful of drug dealers and drug raiders/czars/kingpins. To add to the fear of this movie, the crazed killer flips a coin (much like Harvey Dent from the Batman universe) and if you have “bad luck” you’re going to die.

This film is extremely gruesome and definitely something only strong hearted adults should watch, especially the scenes where the drug dealing serial killer asks his soon to be murdered victims “What S The Most You Ever Lost On A Coin Toss?” If you can stomach and see past the violence, you see that the real point of the view is about how we view and deal with crime, and the ever changing world that is evolving all around us. Because the world has changed so much, so too must our society. Some hold that sheriffs should arm themselves even more (escalation) because despite crime being overall lower today than it was decades ago, there are some very sick people out there and they are extremely armed, and extremely violent, which is what this movie is trying to show. But there are other implications as well to this. Residents have good reason to fear that arming our local police forces may look frighteningly similar to a military force, as if we’re all slaves of a police state. While we are safer and hopefully more secure, it does come at a potential price because when the police are strong, a Hitler may rise to take them over and use them against us. In our efforts to stop drug dealers or other murderers from outside our borders, how far are we willing to go to stop these people, and at what cost? If any of you see “No Country For Old Men”, I highly recommend keeping this in mind while you watch this film. After all, the most you ever lost on a coin toss could be your freedom (and life).

It Happened At The World s Fair

I guess people are still fascinated with Elvis Presley, and the the 1963 movie “It Happened At The World s Fair” is a popular choice amongst Elvis Presley enthusiasts. It is found only on VHS but a major company was able to finally be granted the rights or license to release this classic movie onto DVD format, where the visual quality, sound, and of course sales, will be much better than on the old VHS (as you know VHS players probably aren’t around anymore, even I don’t own any video VHS players). What sets this movie apart from many other Elvis movies is that it shows a humble Elvis (pretty different from other Elvis movies) that is being hooked up with a nurse by a young Chinese girl, and I think that is cute. We also see Elvis as a compassionate, loving man for a lost little girl, much like an adoptive father almost. And it wouldn’t be an awesome Elvis movie if the person playing Elvis didn’t sing his famous songs, such as “Relax”, “Beyond The Bend”, “Take Me To The Fair”, “They Remind Me Too Much Of You”, “How You Would Like To Be”, “Cotton Candy Land”, “A World Of Our Own”, “One Broken Heart For Sale”, “I’m Falling In Love Tonight”, and of course “Happy Ending”. This movie of course has a happy ending.

Another great thing about It Happened At The World s Fair, for women at least, is that the actor playing Elvis is quite handsome and good looking, which is about all I read from all the comments about this movie from all the women movie viewers. I guess being seen as the Elvis in any way has a magical effect on people. This movie takes place at the Seattle’s World Fair in 1964 at the famous landmark Space Needle. These days I don’t hear much about world’s fairs but they were pretty big events back then since communication and technology was still manageable and slow changing (unlike today with conventions for EVERYTHING up the wazoo). Unlike most other Elvis Presley movies, this film is much more family oriented and doesn’t show a lot of women (a very big stark contrast to the other Elvis Presley movies made during the 1960’s), which I’m guessing is why this film still endures even to this day. I suppose the feel good, family message of the movie is something positive everyone can relate to, and no doubt it would probably be a good movie to show children (a comment I read stated that he saw the movie when he was just 12). If you don’t own a copy of It Happened At The World s Fair, I highly recommend seeing it because it is a timeless classic that will probably be popular in another 35 years – Long Live The King, Baby!

Oprah – Oprah’s Jet Spotted in Hawaii

Oprah watchers, THIS JUST IN. Oprah on Maui?

Thanks to our secret pal who monitors the Kahului Airport on Maui for letting us know that Oprah’s private jet touched down on Maui yesterday, and is still seen parked there today.

Kahului Airport is a municipal airport serving airlines and private traffic. It is located on Maui in Maui County near scenic Haleakala. Landings typically occur on Runway 2/20 and Runway 5/23.

At this time it is unknown whether passengers in Oprah’s jet left from the airport’s helipad or via roadway.

Were they heading off to Oprah’s private retreat?

Who comprised that jet set passenger list?

Do you suppose her best budette Gail was there?

How about beau Stedman?

Do you imagine she came to work on next season’s Oprah shows?

Or is this Rest and Relaxation time?

Island residents are used to celebrities and politicians alike.

Many Hollywood stars and celebs have taken a liking to the end of the road paradise known as Hanalei on Kauai.

Actor Kelsey Grammer purchased a lot in Pauoa Beach at Mauna Lani on the Big Island.

President Obama’s ties to the island chain are well-known. He got a bit of bad press, though, when he arrived and failed to wear a flower lei during the presidential campaign. Maybe he thought he wouldn’t appear presidential enough.

Oprah, Maui is lovely isn’t it? Enjoy!! Please consider some shows from Hawaii to help boost tourism to Hawaii. With the recession, it’s been tough on folks in Hawaii, with empty hotels, lost jobs, and all. Everyone would love to see a surge in tourism. So, how about it, Oprah? Can we look forward to some episodes of the Oprah Show from Hawaii this coming season?

Elvis Presley Died 16 August 1971

Thirty-eight years ago today Elvis Presley died at Graceland at the tragically young age of 42 on 16 August 1971. Today I think its worth taking a moment and remembering one of America’s greatest ever talents. And probably one of the first victims of the relentless scrutiny that news media subject the modern celebrity.

Presley’s was discovered in 1954 from a demo disk of “That’s All Right (Mama)” A few months later at his first live performance with his band The Blue Moon Boys he performed his trade-mark leg shake and the rest as they say – was history.

In 1955 Tom Parker became Elvis’s manager and the same year he signed with RCA for a record $40,000. 1956 saw the release of “Heartbreak Hotel” and the same you he made his Hollywood debut with “Love Me Tender”.

Hit after hit doesn’t explain the impact Elvis Presley had on a generation and on the time of deeply conservative 1950’s USA. The FBI considered him to be a “definite danger to the security of the USA”. Most parents just considered him a morale outrage. A judge in Florida threatened to have him arrested if he “shook his body” while performing in Jacksonville.

One of the most extraordinary things I think of Elvis Presley’s career is how he put it on hold for 2-years to fulfil his duty to the army – can’t quite imagine a modern pop star doing that, and successfully relaunched afterwards either.

Whatever Elvis Presley’s failings were – and he definitly did not cope wit the pressures that fame brought him in the 1960s – he was still the greatest rock and rollers of all time.

Spot Of Tea And Sympathy, Anyone?

Well, does anyone want a spot of Tea And Sympathy? On september 1st, music producer or sing and songwriter Billie Myers will hope the answer is a resounding “yes.” While he has no real incentive to work anymore, he still enjoys music and decided to release a new album to usher in the labor day weekend in the United States (though that may not be intentional). It’ll feature 10 songs though a few may be downloadable on Itunes.

What’s very interesting about Billie Myers is that she first came onto the scene as a female singer and songwriter (who sung her own songs) which was a trend or fad in the 1990’s. Towards the end of that decade, demand for music from such people dwindled, and Billie Myers had to find ways to get her music out. Many record companies and labels turned her down but luckily for her, there was the internet.

Tea And Sympathy will no doubt sell very well simply because Billie Myers promoted the hell out of her songs and album, before it even officially releases in a few weeks. On facebook and myspace, popular people and music hangouts for people, she gave out free pieces of her music from the album to loyal and devoted fans, who clearly want more of her music. This is an important fact that many aspiring singers and bands miss, that the best music alone doesn’t get you heard, but you also need to know how to market, connect with people, and give out music when appropriate. If Billie Myers is popular enough, she can stage live performances and concerts, which most certainly will generate big bucks for the musician.

While there are no estimates to how many albums Tea And Sympathy will sell, with the loyal fan base that Billie Myers has garnered, she will no doubt have a successful selling, perhaps one of her best ever in her entire music career. It’s interesting to note that she did all the promotion independent of the music labels, where if you tried to be in this industry, you’ll quickly learn that the big record labels usually rip you off and take most of your profits.

There might be a movie about Tea And Sympathy, or an actual cafe named Tea And Sympathy, but they are not really related to Billie Myers’s album. Oddly enough there doesn’t seem a copyright problem with this, but then again it will confuse users and customers for all of these establishments. Or perhaps they are all owned or controlled by Billie Myers herself? If so, that would be brilliant marketing and diversification on her part, she certainly isn’t the many starving artists out there that I’ve come to known, like the one I saw on the R line train a couple of years ago. He had a great voice and played the guitar very well but was homeless, but that musician is a story for another day.
