As mentioned earlier on a previous post, there is a Playstation 3 price drop effective between now and tomorrow. The reason for the confusing price drop is because Sony has given the go ahead to reduce prices by $100, $100 Euros, and the Yen equivalent, so it is going to take a short for the various merchant websites out there to adjust the pricing. Right now on Amazon you can pre-order the new PS3 Slim for $299 USD or $299 Euros, while the non slim Playstation 3’s currently sell for $299 for the 80 gigabyte (GB) PS3 and the 160GB version is $399. So if you’re willing to wait just a little while it is best to get the new PS3 Slim but for those who can’t wait, cash in on the price reduction now. I suspect the PS3 Price Drop will help boost the popularity of the Playstation brand because one big factor why I did not get a PS3 is because it was just too damn expensive, now there is no real excuse – buy up folks!
