What does the golden ratio face and looking attractive have to do with each other? It is said that if your face is as close to the golden ratio, you will very likely look attractive or good. While I won’t write out for you the long ass number, the ratio itself has been defined up to 20 decimal places (1.6 something). If you ever get into a car accident or god forbid terrible disaster, and your face gets damaged, the ratio that your head, eyes, nose, and lips may become compromised, causing you to look even uglier after you recover from the horrible accident.

There are medical experts and facial reconstruction surgeons out there who specialize in the golden ratio face study and concept field and are able to make people a lot better looking by rearranging your facial features to be as close as mathematically possible to this magical ratio number. This can include your eyes, eye brows, eye width, nose, nose bridge, nostrils, lips, lips protrusion, cheeks, cheek bones, chin, and chin width. While these kinds of surgeries are generally safe, they still are very expensive and have risks involved. Not to mention the people who tend to get these kinds of surgeries done have generally lower self esteem than people who don’t have the surgery. Also, consider that while you may not be happy with your face and looks now, if you take care of your health and wait a little bit of time, you will actually look great.

By getting a facial surgery based on the golden ratio face procedure, you in essence are altering the already natural beauty of your own body, and could potentially be jeopardizing your future health. On top of that, if you are still aging or growing, the facial reconstruction and modification may mess up your face down the line.

So, how did the golden ratio face come about? I bet it was because people are so generally obsessed with how they look, that will look into anything to make themselves look better, which I of course do not blame them for. Looking great and your possible best is essential to living life fully, and hey why beauty is sometimes skin deep, it does not hurt to look great. The golden ratio doesn’t apply to just faces of course, it can apply to buildings, architecture, art, paintings, computer graphics, and character models for 3d video game/imaging applications. The reason why this golden ratio is so important because it is inherent in all of nature and one of the most applicable and visible applications of this all important mathematical number is the face, where your face parts are rearranged according to the golden ratio face.

If you ever notice that your face may not look so good, remember the golden ratio face. It may not be that your face itself is out of line or sync with the golden ratio for faces but it might mean you’ve put on some glasses or hairdos or objects on your face that distort the natural golden ratio on your face, causing you to look not your best.
